Crocodiles and HUH back to back?

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

The Furs do Achtung Baby? That would be bizarre, but I could go for it.

But only if combined with the Reids doing Barbed Wire Kisses in its entirety, with an encore of Vegetable Man and Route 66.

Oh Lord.

Mr. Brian please delete my account.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Thats Cartoon Dog Man to you
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Richard Butler's false teeth and shiny silver overcoat are amazing; he's the best game show host ever.

Shit frontman, though.

The stuff they were writing was timeless in so many ways. Maybe the younguns will like it too. :) Maybe Ian will start writing a little more that way again after going through all of it...
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

Finally

They have realised the error of their ways.

This would be a good event

Perhaps any new album with be flavored with these recordings in mind.

Time to get my raincoat on and groove

I'd prefer a Heaven up Here back to back with Reverberation (and "In Bluer Skies" thrown in for good measure) but Crocodiles/Heaven up Here is fine. But is Mac's voice up to it? November excepted, the vocals on "The Fountain" seemed weak. On the other hand they seemed fine on "Later with Jools Holland."
I'll get off my ass and see them. If they can pull off another Lazarus act like the Evergreen or Flowers tour thats GREAT. If it turns out WORSE than the "what am I going to do with my sore throat" tour then we can consider it an amusing freak show. I am not bothered any more. I have found my new messiah.

HUH - a few of the tracks he may struggle with vocally - although he did seem to start trying the higher notes at the end of that recent A Promise performance with that Glasvegas chap. Crocodiles, I can't see any problems at all and most of the songs suit his current vocals (and don't forget over recent years, Going Up, Crocodiles, Rescue, Villiers Terrace and All That Jazz have all been performed live). Certainly though my bet is HUH is probably a darn sight easier to perform, even performances of With A Hip a few years back were passable. Porcupine though. Mac trying to sing Clay, Porcupine, Ripeness or Gods Will Be Gods. Hmmm... He does appear to manage okay with the high notes on The Cutter or Back of Love though.

I'll still be surprised if it happens, but if it does I hope they don't do it in the Royal Albert Hall or similar again. Just decent sized normal places like the Hammersmith Apollo or the Shepherd’s Bush Empire. RAH was fine for the orchestra backed Ocean Rain, but this is pure guitar-driven music and needs to be played in a more audience friendly type venue.

Dr Evil - who is your new messiah?

I'd like to see them do it at St. Georges Hall but that's mainly because I'm a lazy bastard and don't want to travel out of Liverpool to see them.

Actually thinking about it, I think I'd probably come up to Liverpool on this occasion for this gig, should it happen. Be slightly different for a change.

If this actually comes to pass, I will stop my live Bunnymen embargo that's been in place since around 2005.

PS: Good to be back, PC was out of commission for a bit.
