Whereas The Dark Knight does not lend itself to repeated viewing.

The new Star Trek is the best hands down, IMO.

Almost worth getting on Blu ray.
It would have been better without the time travel. At least there was no older Kirk.

Oh, god, you're right. The thought never crossed my mind that Shatner might appear on screen at any moment. Shudder.

Okay now you people are just talking crazy.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Please. No. Time. Traveling. William. Shatner. Please. God. No.

I really liked the new Star Trek, but I could've done without the product placements. But how does it play on the small screen?

The Nokia thing in the car was the only product placement I noticed and it annoyed me. It was good on the small screen, but left me wishing I had seen it on the big. Especially that scene near the end when the Enterprise comes out of warp guns a-blazin'!

That would be great if 10 years from now Nokia is out of business and seeing that is like seeing Pan-Am in a early 70s future sci-fi flick.

Indeed. Mr Shadow and I were watching an old VHS of MST3K not long ago and saw an MCI commercial that said something like "when you need to know your network will be there."

Did someone mention the Shatner?

Oh, I bet the whole country got to watch Davey & Goliath on Sunday mornings. We used to watch it before Mass in my neck of Looziana, where the Bible Belt collided with the hell fires of New Orleans.

BTW, did you know that the same guy who did Gumby and Pokey -- Art Clokey -- also did Davey & Goliath?

I didn't know that. Weird. Did you get Mr. Peppermint in Looziana? (That's how I say it, too.) It was a kid's show hosted by the father of none other than Gibby Haines of Butthole Surfers fame. Blew Davie and Goliath out of the water.

Alas, no Mr. Peppermint. That would've been awesome. We just had Buckskin Bill.

Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Someone was telling me about that two days ago and said the Mormon church made Davey and Goliath in reality it was the Lutheran Church in America that produced it.
