Overrated bands

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

That stupid American bitch could learn a thing or two from you on how to ingratiate yourself onto a message board.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

don't know what "she" did to raise your hackles, uber-scouser, but whoever she is is probably smarter, more American, and more bitchy than we could ever hope to be. And, holy shite, this is "message board?!" please immediately delete my account dog cartoon guy (sorry, cant remember your fake name while typing in this screen--technology impairment).

That's Mr. Brian to all of you.

Bri-Bri to me.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

guess one has to be really smart to be the leader of this high-tech, computer-related "message bored" organization, thus his well-deserved nickname "Mr. Brain." I will be sure to remember his proper appellation at all times in the future, mullet-hair guy (now cannot recall your actual fake name). see how this is all very difficult (unless you are a gin-swilling canine genius). does this thing have spell check, by the way?

It's really too bad that at this point in their careers, the Bunnymen won't open/support a newer band. It's a great way for younger like-minded music fans to see them and there is no pressure to fill the venue. It would take them to cities (like mine) where they have not been since the 80's. Much better than a festival gig if you ask me and probably more money.

I was thinking about that today. Back in the 80s their major support came from college radio and radio stations similar to KROQ where they were playing UK bands. Radio has changed. Music has changed with the advent of rap and grunge.

It's either be an opener or play smaller venues. Tough call. I rather liked the Furs.

Oh, so, you meant me. How sweet.
Can't figure out what I did to you now.
This is an open forum.
But calling people names after they have apologized to you is not endearing either.

the real problem here is that somebody tried to return this particular thread to its professed topic (about overrated bands, or some such). What the hell was that person doing? even i could tell you that is recipe for disaster. look at what this heavy handed uprising of over-organisation has wrought. now everyone with an avatar-thing is up in arms. thank god for the atlantic. just remember this incident next time you think it would be a clever idea to talk about the proper topic when the discussion is completely off topic. use some creativity instead. go talk about overrated bands under another heading--you've got lots of choices (most of which you are already posting in simultaneously, if i am not mistaken). if i wanted to know what discussion i would find under a certain heading, i would read a dictionary, or visit that DM site (sorry Mr. Black).

I take back Sleater-Kinney. No longer overrated.
