Coldplay

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

42 is a fantastic song. We would be praising the Bunnymen to high heaven had they written it. Lost, Cemeteries of London are both good. Violet Hill is a really fun tune.

I wish the Bunnymen had made this album.

Our wounds are open, thank you for adding salt.

Our Ian sez they dress funny and try not to get the ball dirty when they play football.

Has Ian looked at some of his old photo's?

Is he trying to say they play it safe as well?? Has Ian listened to any Bunnymen albums from 1997 onward? We love our Bunnymen but it's not like the Bunnymen are taking any risks with songs or setlists.

Mr. Brian, please delete your account.

PS Shouldn't that be "any Bunnymen albums from 1984 onward"?

Can't you see this is what Chris Martin wants? Turning on each other over Coldplay?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Pet Shop Boys have just released a killer disco version of Viva La Vida...
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

The time will come when all the chord combinations will run out, and then more disgraceful situations will arise such as The Verve losing all their royalties for "Bittersweet Symphony" (assuming there are such a thing as royalties in the future due to file sharing) and rather than the old mantra of "home taping destroying music" it will be a case of "legal predators destroying music."

funnily enough i was watching a thing on tony fletchers ijamming site where he did a reading from his latest book and then talked to Arlene Smith, original lead singer with the Chantels. Him reading out loud is not the most fascinating thing I've ever heard but the talk with Smith is really interesting and at one part they discuss the common act of record label owners/managers simply claiming publishing 'as normal practice', and her going to school in a limo (*she was about 15 when they had their hits) but not knowing she was paying for it. Oh and having a stream of acts in the studio overnight, literally queuing up and as soon as they hear somethign they like (or think will sell) having a ready made contract and if they queried it, NEXT!!!!! All standard practice still I imagine. And as usual when the legal bods feel they are being squezzed it'll be the artists that pay for it. Anywaone with a bit of commercial sense ought to be able to make a living but I suppsoe with tickettwats in charge of all the major bookings you have to make a deall with the devil at some point.

ps sorry not really been following this thread
