You're so right about that!! That's why I was planning on voting for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Since it's been a joke for 7 yrs. what could be more appropriate than to follow with two comedians on Penn. Ave?

I thought that Rust would have been a good theme song for the movie

When I read the books I didn't focus too much on the religion thing as I think that anyway .. for me these 3 books were more about loss of innocence and a child becoming an adult...

the Golden Compass is a better title than Northen Lights but then again I don't remember Lyra using a compass

They should have named it "The Alethiometer." I mean it has the word "ale" in it. I am sure it would have been a blockbuster in Britain.
