We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

"I'm trying to decipher his eye contact," he smiles. "I can't work out whether he's giving me the shut-the-fuck-up eye contact, or the carry-on eye contact."

Rumor has it Grant Marshal took a much more active role this time around. The three tracks I've heard are ok. Definitely a step back in the direction of having a memroable melody. Amazing when compared to 100th Window.

Here is who is singing on what:

Damon also plays bass on ‘Flat Of The Blade’ and keys on ‘Splitting The Atom’, while Portishead’s Adrian Utley plays guitar on ‘Saturday Come Slow’.

Tracklisting is as follows:

Pray For Rain - featuring Tunde Adebimpe
Babel – featuring Martina Topley-Bird
Splitting The Atom – featuring Robert del Naja / Grant Marshall / Horace Andy
Girl I Love You – featuring Horace Andy
Psyche – featuring Martina Topley-Bird
Flat Of The Blade – featuring Guy Garvey
Paradise Circus – featuring Hope Sandoval
Rush Minute – featuring Robert del Naja
Saturday Come Slow – featuring Damon Albarn
Atlas Air – featuring Robert del Naja

I absolutely love the first 3 MA albums...but 100th Window was a huge let down and I thought that was it. I'm hoping they can rediscover the magic touch on the new one.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

I've only heard a remix of "Pscyhe" off the new album. Didn't really like it but maybe it needs a few more listens.

Splitting the Atom is ok. The song, though, feels like the band could have worked on it more. When you are young and broke and excited band all you have time for is working on your songs and working your mall job.
Older with family and other interests and money to and bills I guess it is harder to focus.

Good point. Would it be "on the dole"? That would explain the free time but not where they got the money for something like an Akai sampler in the late 80s.

Heligoland review
http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/ja ... and-review

'Best of all, perhaps, for those who hated 100th Window, a 3D solo album passed off as a Massive set, Daddy G has returned from his "sabbatical", eager no doubt to save 3D from himself and inject a note of something other than despair.'
