Duran Duran memorabilia and records

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Duran Duran memorabilia and records

At one time I really loved the "Fab Five" and got a ton of their stuff. I would like to sell it to a good home and would like to know if there are any on this site or if you know of a particular place to find such people. Duran Duran charges to post on their fan site so that's out.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

If I had the cash I'd take it off your hands.

Then I'd burn it all, Wicker Man style.

Believe me, I thought about it. Duran Duran bonfire! But such bonfires are illegal. Maybe I ought to stop by John Taylor's house and say, "Hey, I'll trade you these old records and things for some of your wife's Juicy Couture clothing." But I don't particularly like Juicy Couture. Burberry or Marc by Marc Jacobs and then we are talking sensibly.

Chavs? Is that like posers?

--------------

2 minutes later I decided that must be slang for something...so I decided to get a translation guide. Word has it that we Americans speak a slightly different version of English.

chav * Noun. A person, usually of poorly educated, working class origin, who dresses casually in designer sportswear and vulgar jewellery. Chavs are generally viewed as an ignorant under-class with a propensity for criminal or loutish behaviour. Usually derog. [Orig. South-west. Popular from early 2000s]
* For a more indepth view see Chav

So I did

noun
A youth whose behavior is marked by ignorance, aggression, and a fondness for jewelry and clothing. (See Duran Duran)

PS Burberry is considered very high end out here in LA. Are we being taken advantage of?

AMazing what you can discover....

Boycott Burberry — If You Don't Do It for the Animals, Do It for the Chavs!

This is a website for chavs who are sick and tired of Burberry making us look bad by selling fur in their shops. Isn't it? As Britain's most prominent representatives of Burberry, we feel that we are entitled to a stake in their brand identity and a legitimate interest in their reputation, which is currently tarnished by the business's decision to associate itself with the vicious cruelty of the fur industry by selling the skins of tortured animals instead of just sticking to those nice plaid baseball caps and jumpers that everyone likes so much. Isn't it?*

*Translated from the original Chav by a team of linguistics professors from Chatham.
A group of chavs :

The testimonials also translate. Very funny.
