Why is Frank Black so underrated and didn't make the crap

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Thanks. .
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Frank Black is the greatest songwriter this world has ever known. If he looked like Gavin Rossdale he would a zillionaire having sold a zillion records.

As such I love my chubby, bald, little man (I'm talking Frank Black) who gives his all at tiny little clubs and who one day smiled, asked about me and kept smiling as I made a fool of myself.

I remember when I first saw the Pixies I thought it was great that he just looked like some high school gym teacher that couldn't even run a lap himself rather than some hipster looking guy like Perry Farrell or something.

If you had been there for FB last night, you would know that this thread was far from kissing ass.

I will always love FB because there is no dicking around, no drug problems, no throwing TVs out hotel windows, no pyrotechnics, no bullshit.

Just rock and roll.

"Making the crap" (unless we're back to Activia) isn't just about volume sales. Some bands have cool and kudos way beyond others who have made their millions and it is often those "smaller" (sorry Mac) bands that cut the crap and influence others.
The Pixies, The Bunnymen and the Velvets may never have reached the sales achieved by their counterparts, Nirvana, U2 and The Beatles but I know which bands I prefer listening to.
