I think a tour is almost certain according to all the media, aho in most cases are correct !!!!

But no doubt will be one huge corporate rock circus, which makes The Stones tickets look cheap. Last nights show was £125.00 per ticket so that will almost certain be the starting point for the tour.........

Heh I was going to start a similar thread, specifically wondering what Robert Plant's voice is like now. I assumed the responses would be mostly in the vein of "Zeppelin sucks", or "Robert Plant could never sing to begin with."

So, what IS Plant's voice like now?

I've read that next year there is a mysterious block of 14 dates in a row blocked off at Madison Square Garden for a single headliner. That would be insane.

I think I'd be interested in this. Before the Bunnymen, Zeppelin was my big thing in high school. I was a huge fan.

By all accounts his voice was tip top last night according to all the reviews..... Which seemed to surprise most reviewers and fans.... But can his voice cope on tour, that might be a very different tale.......

I'd go see 'em if they went on tour. I was a huge fan in high school too ... BP (before punk) :mrgreen:

for what it's worth, Billy Duffy was on Jonesy's Jukebox last week and he said that Ian Astbury had mentioned that the Cult would be touring with LZ next year.

That said, wonder if there's a similar mysterious group of dates blocked off in L.A. for a single headliner next year???

I just read a review of the show, that it was excellent and that Robert can still wail with the best of them. I do love Robert Plant. His songs are still interesting (his solo stuff). Apparently Jason Bonham is quite a chip off the old block.

Back in the day (my strange youth) I had tickets to the last NY gigs that the original lineup would ever play (break out the violins here).
I had very little money and father's day was approaching. I decided to sell the tickets at face value so that I could buy something for my dad. Shortly thereafter Bonzo died and I never got to see them live.

Anyway, maybe this gig was a great impetus and they might reform. It may still happen.

The reason I never saw Zep involves my dad too. One of those "Over my dead body!" moments :cry:

and then punk came along and swept them aside.

I like that Zep were fans of the Damned. Rat Scabies' drumming, perchance? :biggrin:
