Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

I always expected to hear gun shots watching Sesame Street as a kid. And Mr hooper would have been yelling at those kids to get out of his store.

This is how I remember those old shows

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TDpt9iicEow&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TDpt9iicEow&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Yep, drab and urban. I always felt sorry for the kids on Sesame Street because they lived in the city... It seems lighter now.

I didn't realize there were so many anti-Sesame Street people. I didn't really watch it much as a kid and my kids never got into it. I just think the Muppets in general and independent of that show are so overrated but people seem to love them for some reason and even pay money to watch them in their own movies.

I confess to liking The Backyardigans more than my daughter does. The music and songs on that show are REALLY good and occasionally they reference movies like Slingblade. I looked for youtube clips to post here, but no luck.

Nobody likes a kiss ass Jack.

I confess to being in love with the host from the Goodnight Show.

She is HOT. And I want her job. Hanging out in your PJs reading stories and doing crafts... is there a better gig out there?

Well, I loved Sesame Street and the Muppets. Does anybody remember The Electric Company?
British kids stuff like The Clangers, Bagpuss, Button Moon etc. was brilliant. Although not that old, Tales from Fat Tulips Garden was also brilliant. Tony Robinson narrated a story about Fat Tulip while a wobbly camera showed the parts of the garden where the story took place.

I was disappointed to learn that Fat Cherry is no relation of Mr Tulip.

The chick she was replaced was a Godless whore corrupting our children with her filth.

My mom wouldn't let us watch The Electric Company- said it made us hyper. We were allowed to watch Benny Hill, however, and Monty Python, boobs and all.

your mom was cool!

The only thing my mom wouldn't let me watch was Dark Shadows. Outer Limits reruns, Night Gallery and Twilight Zone were fine, but a soap about vampires, no f*cking way.
