The Smiths = overrated/Morrissey Solo = underrated

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I must admit it made me giggle when I saw it bounce off his head.

Was Morrissey right to walk offstage after being hit by a bottle?

Who would throw a beer at Morrissey? That should be punishable by death.

I've got two £32.50 + fees tickets so I'm hoping to get at least something back (though there's no sign of any announcement and I'm not too hopeful). I was a bit wary of setting off, checked the Echo Arena website last minute to check it was still on following his previous cancellations and was relieved when I saw him onstage, thought we'd get more than 6 or 7 minutes though. I don't blame him for walking off, I'd willingly have paid the £25 fuel for the support band and nearly two Morrissey songs but to pay full whack for the tickets as well would be a bit much.

On the ticket price, compared to the Bunnymen, the price in the same venue was £5 more for a similar seat to watch Morrissey than the Ocean Rain gig. Makes you wonder if the Bunnymen undercharged for a two set show including the Ocean Rain with Orchestra set. I'm sure Morrissey doesn't play for longer than about 75 minutes (though Saturday will bring his average down).

As much as I like Morrissey, his ticket prices are heading to the "just can't bring myself to do it" range.

Does he have a history of animosity with Liverpool? I know he's a bit dramatic but is there something about Liverpool that maybe another city he comes back after nursing his bruised ego?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I don't know. He's played there twice this year. He did the Empire during the Years of Refusal tour. It sounds like people from all over the country had travelled to see the Echo Arena show as tickets were easier to come by than for the smaller venues which sold out relatively quickly. I read on one forum of a poor individual who'd seen him twice in the last month, those two nights being Liverpool and Swindon. Two and a half songs for two gigs, now that would piss anyone off.

Maybe we should all chip in and buy him a ticket for the Bunnymen Dubai show?

Mr Shadow still maintains that Mozz needs to eat a burger and sing already.

Wait!! This happened in Liverpool?? There might be a list of people who would engage in shenanigans like that.

having stuff thrown at you like that is very disconcerting. Brings out your inner high school nerd. Besides, good luck finding the person who did it. I wouldn't underestimate the number of people who might do that if it happened to them.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)
