Special U.S. Release

Postby In The Margins » Thu Nov 05, 2009 7:53 pm

Here are the details.

A t-shirt, autographed sheet music and a digital download of the album. Oh, and the actual album too. Think I'll wander over to my local record store next Tuesday and buy the damn thing (and pay about 11 dollars) and be done with it.

Might be nice to have the sheet music though. At least for me since I roll that way.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

Dunno about the IRS, but what a coinky dink! The twitter for the U.S. store popped up not long after the two about the IRS and tour canellation. Hmmmmm.

In Firefox this is black letters on a very very dark grey background. So I switch over to IE8 and it's the same thing. So I try it on my kids PC with IE7, same thing. I guess I need to go get Safari to read this properly?

The sheet music would be nice but not as part of a $40 package. To be honest, after some of the stories I've read about some other recent purchases through the official site I don't think I'll take my chances.

It doesn't seem to be available in the UK, but then again we will get to see them play live before Christmas (only joking!!!!!). I'd have liked a copy of the sheet music but it sounds like the signed ones will be randomly inserted so there's no guarantee of even getting an autographed one?

How else will we know if the idea of supplying fags and special brew has been taken on board?

Get over yourself!
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I don't think the Bunnymen are filling the orders, so maybe it would be okay to order. I'm puzzled why someone would want the digital downloads in addition to the physical album (via compact disc). If i buy the cd, can't I just rip the tracks from them?

I find this special release to be LAME. (That's right, Ian, LAME.)

Well you could but that takes time which is very valuable. Here, they are doing this for you and giving time back to you for a nominal fee. It's just another fine service from Bunnymen Inc.

I think some of the above has a different meaning the other side of the Atlantic. Though, $40 might be cheap for a fag and special brew bundle over there, for anyone who's that way inclined.

i thought the same thing. also i have the album already burned as mp3 from a friend in the UK. i just want the physical CD to add to my collection.

a shirt might be nice too... but it doesn't have the same meaning... i wanted to buy my shirt at the CONCERT. you know, like a souvenir of the evening. ordering it online with the CD seems lame.

but i give them props for trying. and Mr. Brian, the store is purposefully designed to be black text on a dark grey bkg. someone over there doesn't understand that legibility needs to come before "cool looking design".
