I like the tougher rockabilly vibe in Morrissey's solo work and find the Smiths to be a little too precious.

When I first broached this subject with Jack on Wednesday night, he slapped me down pretty quick.
Morrissey to me is the only rock star left. When I saw him at the Palladium besides being amazed at the number of Mexican dudes with pompadours, I was amazed by his charisma. He had the audience eating out of his hands. It was perfect in every way. Of course the first time he lets me down I'll start posting about him like I do the Bunnymen now.
