Let me know if anything is not working right

Have a question about the website or a suggestion? Found a typo? Something not working right on the forum?

Unless you want updates on "unofficial" releases and updates on verboten topics that the official site cannot announce, no.

For example, if I had been doing the forum and news when that assault charge on Mac was happening in Scotland, I probably would have put that in the news but I see no reason to be redundant and just mirror all the news already available on the official site.

Now if I get word that in addition to Ocean Rain, which is under 40 minutes I believe, they will be doing another set or Les will be guesting or anything like that. I will post that in the news possibly depending on the source. Tabloidish? Maybe. Then again, the forum is probably the best place for that. The reason the news on the front page was added in the first place was to not make my site look so static and have to dig down to find out the latest release.

However I dunno...I'm allowed to change my mind at any time. To be honest I've been concentrating on the forum and working on my new discography format and haven't thought about it much. So as you can see nothing is really set in stone. I'm open to opinions and suggestions.

You could have a newsfeed of unsubstantiated rumors and outright fabrications. I could contribute items for that if you like.

Even if it mirrored official news, I think it would still be good to have it here because I think VT is the definitive Bunnymen website due to its massive content...as opposed to...you know!

Can, ahem, members delete whole threads and posts or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

No.

You can edit your old post and remove the text. That will leave a blank post. But members cannot delete any posts or threads they started.

I don't think I want people posting and deleting, especially the whole thread. I've seen that cause trouble on other forums. Once others have contributed to the thread it is no longer the original authors thread in my opinion.

Wasn't there a poll question about Morrissey on a little while ago?
We need a head scratching emoticon on here.
It's definitely gone now. I think Seven Seas had posted it. It looked like a good topic.

Yep, it was there just before my dodgy connection chucked me offline earlier.

Seven Seas asked me to delete a thread she started that got out of hand. It was several pages long and since many people had posted to it, I would be deleting dozens of posts. I didn't think that was fair and she agreed also in light of the fact that the main reason this forum started was for it to be a completely open forum, warts and all. I did not want to start a trend of me deleting peoples post or people might start thinking i am editing out people's opinions. As I recall she had already edited out some of her posts so I am guessing that's what happened here.
