Faith and Healing

I know this has been described as a bad New Order rip off but it's my favorite track from Candleland and I bet it wasn't half bad live.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

 It wasn't!!
He gave it loads.
Mind you, one had to get over the wine red trackies and Ramones-style leather jacket first.

I liked In Bloom on the album, but it was less than spectacular live.

I've always liked the extended mixes of Faith & Healing, Proud To Fall and Lover Lover Lover (from Mysterio).

And weirdly, I remember, he did a bit of moonwalking from time to time

Those were the days, weren't they, when he actually moved when on stage. It's like a dream.

Oh come on we all tried that once. Or in my case for years.

Freaking everyone was doing that. Mac, though? that's a shocker.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

I saw him move on stage as recently as 2003. That wasn't so long ago.

He actually was mobile on the New York stage last year too. I was surprised, pleasantly.

Actually, Mac has iron in his boots and people under the stage move magnets about. Also, he hasn't been able to speak or sing since 1991 when he had a stroke when he listened to Reverberation and found it was even better than Heaven up Here-its all a computer synthesized recording.

Great song, looking back, it was the one where the record company really gave it the multi-format and multi-remix push but it never really came off. It was released as a cassette, 7", 12" and 3" cd here in the UK with the US also getting a maxi 12" as well as an 8 track(!) maxi single cd which included 4 mixes of that track alone. If Mac was going to make it in that late eighties club remix market I guess this would have been the one.
My personal favourite from Candleland was The Cape and also Damnation off Mysterio, always thought Damnation would have sounded great with Will's swirling guitar.

Rad! I always liked the Prodigal Sons (I think that's what they were called). They've been a bit maligned but I thought they were great for toughening up Mac's songs live. To be fair the guys backing Mac on his 2003 solo tour played it tough too. Even the Flickering Wall sounded like a rocker.

I love Damnation even though I think the chorus is mildly generic. I can look past that though cause the rest of the song is bad ass. Love the beginning.
