Didn't that album also come quite close to ending the Bunnymen?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

That was all behind the back stuff wasn't it? Ian was listening to some manager about shutting Will out and making decisions without him and Will confronted Mac and said "ok it's me or him" and the next day they fired the manager. There has been no indication that Will is unhappy with this current situation has there?
