I very much doubt they are currently living the mega rich lifestyle....

Bunnymen mk2,mac solo,Electrafixion,Bunnymen with Les,Bunnymen without Les....all dropped by labels. They aint millionaires guys....you cant deny them earning a living but the management PM'ed me to say they didnt make anything off the OR gigs either so looks like they live off the odd festival dough and PRS from Killing Moon etc..

Get you, strolling along the Bunnymen corridors of power.
And you know that I'll pick up

Hardly.I laid into the OR gigs saying every further one they do diminishes the relevance of RAH,RCH and Echo Arena but they wouldnt respond to it openly.

It's a shame. I thought if nothing else they'd make a few bucks on the OR gigs. I did think that doing further OR gigs takes some of the shine off the original gigs, but that NY show was something special. Every moment I was in NY was so much fun and every person from the forums I met was so cool. I don't think anything can detract from it especially now that I've had a year to further romanticize it in my head.

I didn't want to go to the L.A. OR cause I knew it couldn't be topped and I wanted everyone to remember me from NY when I was young and beautiful.

You'll always be frozen in time for me, BF.

I hope they've wrapped up the OR shows forever. From the reviews, it sounds like Toronto was good, while Oakland and L.A. were not so good. Perhaps it had something to do with performing OR in the first set.

It also sounds like they make their money off the merchandising. Now I'm glad I bought that chinzy silver bunnygod pin for 5 dollars.

these days, doesn't everybody make their money off merchandise? The t-shirts were $40 at Depeche Mode. Also $40 (for kids!) at a Miley Cyrus concert a friend took his daughter to, and I bet the same -- or more -- at U2 last night. As to the bunnyboys, I strolled by merch booth, just to see what they had -- looked like Fountain t-shirts -- but didn't notice the prices. I think they were $25 in New York last year.

I would buy shirts off the site if they had some decent designs. People loved my HUH shirt, the shirt with Mac's face in black and white and even the green Bunnymen star shirt. The designs on their site right now don't do anything for me. I remember at one show they had shirts that said something like the most inspirational band of all time and I just rolled my eyes. Couldn't see myself wearing that.

People loved my "Better Than Comsats" T Shirt but I was forced to withdraw it from sale due to the threat of legal action from the Comsats record label (K Tel)
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Was it a copyright issue? Surely they wouldn't question the accuracy of the statement?

I think they started at $25 and went upwards of $35-$40 (depending on sweatshirt, hoodie, etc.). That's why I opted for the pin.

I can understand why they didn't make any money on the OR gigs. They were large undertakings with many expenses. Let's hope they didn't loose any money!

I don't know for a fact (whether they made or lost money). I'm just repeating what someone posted earlier (that management said they didn't make any money on the OR gigs). I'm unable to ferret out the exact post right now.

I don't know why management would tell a stranger that type of info.....

When my band performed our classic album "Another Man's Fecal Spray" start to finish with an orchestra, we made a killing. Not sure where the Bunnymen went wrong.
