Dean Wareham

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Another one of my favorite artists who seems lost at the moment.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I finally decided to see what this thread was. I had to Google the name.

I know some Galaxie 500 (mostly due to their being cited as influences by other bands) and Luna (I have Bewitched) but never knew the band members names. I think I had On Fire by Galaxie 500 once or heard it or something and hearing so much about it and ended up thinking it was overrated like the Stone Roses. Maybe I'll give it another listen for my old roommate BF

Galaxie 500 are fantastic. Love Wareham's voice and guitar (for a good sample of his guitar check out Summertime) and I think I'm the only person who prefers Blue Thunder with the sax as opposed to without. Luna was hit or miss and while Wareham's singing was more professional I missed his more Neil Young-ish days. Had more feeling.

I saw Galaxie 500 with a friend who really loved them. It was a good show.
