Maybe he used up all of his mojo at the Mercury the night before? I read the articles today and they say he was in a good mood and did lots of bantering - like a comedy act.

I read in one review where he told them to put down the cell phones (used as cameras) and cameras etc. and just experience the music instead of having to document ever second. That might have been the jist of his "soliloquy."

I wish he had said that to the Boston crowd. This isn't the first time that some in the audience spend more time trying to take photos or videos of the dark stage than appreciating the music.

Before the show started the idiots with the iPhones were using the app thing where they hold up the phone to the music playing and find out instantly what song is playing. What a wuss society we live in now.

Hey I wish I had that app a couple of days ago!
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

but tonight he barely said more than a few sentences, which didn't help to fire up the crowd at all. It was a Sunday night, and so packed that getting a beer was out of the question, and all these factors added up to a crowd which was appreciative of the opportunity to see the band in such a small venue, but one that was not exactly crackling with energy.

In all fairness I do believe Going Up should open every show while Show of Strength and The Killing also need to be played twice at every show.

If the band want to set a mood and make a statement then open with ALL THAT JAZZ

lyrics says it and then music drives it....
