The Fountain - Credits

Postby black francis » Mon Oct 12, 2009 4:54 pm

All tracks written by Ian McCulloch, John McLaughlin, Simon Perry, David Thomas and Will Sergeant, except where noted.

"Think I Need It Too" – 3:41
"Forgotten Fields" – 3:46
"Do You Know Who I Am?" – 2:52
"Shroud of Turin" (McCulloch, Sergeant) – 4:10
"Life of a Thousand Crimes" (McCulloch, Sergeant) – 3:22
"The Fountain" (McCulloch) – 4:01
"Everlasting Neverendless" – 3:08
"Proxy" (McCulloch) – 3:15
"Drivetime" – 4:11
"The Idolness of Gods" (McCulloch) – 4:26

I guess we know all three London based musicians now. Who are the other two?

Then again this all comes from Wikipedia so who knows.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Those guys don't have their own Wiki entries so they must be nobodies. Maybe we should create one for them.

I wouldn't have guessed "Life of a Thousand Crimes" as being a McCulloch/Sergeant only song based on what I've heard.

That's funny when I saw it was a Mac/Will composition I thought ah that makes sense.

It's the most interesting song on the album so I figured Will had to have some input on it.

I'm not gonna hold the intro against it.

I know it's off Wikipedia, but is that the definitive listing of writers (as in what is printed on the insert of the album) - reads like an episode of Heroes or similar American TV series (Friends, etc). My MP3 download of The Fountain track lists in the properties as Jay Hoggard as the composer. Who is he? This chap? A mistake in the listing? Needs investigation.

There's a review of last night's (?) gig at Wolverhampton. See it was usual suspects with a smidging of new tracks.

Maybe a sample was involved?

US TV shows are known for using a long list of writers. Friends being an example (I think). Over in the UK, one or two is the norm.

Aah, that might be it.
