Mac interview and another track from last night. Interview 13 minutes in. Life of a Thousand Crimes 15.55. Another catchy Ian McCulloch solo pop song from his forthcoming album, The Fountain, which features guest legendary guitarist Will Sergeant on several tracks. No idea if any other tracks were played other than TINIT.

I like this song from the first opening notes. It has a big giant sound which they haven't really had since Evergreen.

I didn't have to listen to the gray album when it came out as they weren't my thing, or go through the years following Mac's solo career, which this album does remind me of -I only listened to Mac's first two solo albums fully last week and bought a grand total of three songs (Magical World, Pomegranate and In My Head) from two albums worth of tracks.

This doesn't really float my boat either and I can't force myself to like an album. I'll get Forgotten Fields and the Smiths-sounding Everlasting Neverendless as MP3 downloads to go with November, but I think I have heard sufficient now to make a decision.

Being a fan longer doesn't entitle anyone to be a better authority on Echo and the Bunnymen. I don't care if you were at the first show or just got into them yesterday, everyone's opinion is important.

We are allowed personal opinions Joe-EATB, or whatever your name is, just like you are expressing your own personal opinion.

I don't see anyone bashing anyone, other than politely saying they don't like something. I haven't said it's crap and haven't told someone to fuck themselves because they disagree with a comment about their beloved Bunnymen.

Perhaps I get sick of listening to people going on about Echo & The Bunnymen in the 1980s, like you have to listen to them for 30 years to be a fan. Twelve years means nothing, five gigs -- more than I have seen any other band, just because I wasn't rushing out to buy Rescue on 7 inch in 1981.

If you don't like it, well that's tough shit cos I'm not going anywhere.

Sounds familiar

Man I can't believe all the moaners on this site and how you basically hate just about everything they do post 1985. I was always a Bunnymen fan but I was the biggest U2 fan ever. And then Bono started getting under my skin and then I just couldn't get into the music any more. I haven't bought U2's last three cd's and I try to avoid there video's and any news about them and I definitely do not go to any of there websites, official or not official sites. I basically had enough of U2 about ten years ago and I don't bother with them any more. Maybe some of the people who constantly moan about the Bunnymen should do the same.


Yeah I can't believe that at fifty years old he really should sound like he did when he was twenty five. I think a bunch of you guys should find a new band to follow so you don't have to keep trying to act like twenty five or thirty years haven't passed.
