Anyone been watching this? Just caught the third one last night so will go back and watch the others. Good but v grim - whole cast of gene hunts without anything approaching a sense of humour. Started watching partly because of the cast and partly because its all set where i grew up (yes those were the days). anyone read the books?

I watched it the first time round it was on (earlier this year). The first episode was the best of the bunch with Andrew Garfield and Sean Bean, reminded me of the film The Last King of Scotland.

It would be nice if we (the US) could get the original UK versions of these shows. We just Carnation St. AMC could be the new PBS and start bringing over the originals.

I think the only version available in the States at the mo is the imported non-US format DVD. I would have thought that it will be available sometime in the future.
