How do you get a guitar player to stop playing?

Put sheet music in front of him.

What do you call the guy that hangs out with the band?

The bass player.

well it can be a bit of a disappointment when the author of the soundtrack to your life cant string a sentence together. but on the other hand being a skilled musician/composer/wordsmith is just a form of intelligence. is that a yes? i think perhaps it maybe is.

Certainly I would want my vocalist to be intelligent. Who likes stupid lyrics anyway ? I want songs with meaning and depth and not just plain mediocre.
