Mac in a three part Leonard Cohen documentary

Postby Joe-eatb » Thu Aug 20, 2009 10:24 pm

Mac talks in all three parts of this mini documentary of the Great Leonard Cohen. He even sings Suzanne, some of the things he says about Cohen might explain why he prefers is own current deeper voice. Here is the link to the first part and the other two parts are listed once you watch the first part, enjoy.

P.S. I think it was made in 2005.

well, not saying he doesn't - prefer his voice now, but he's got to say that hasn't he? just lik ehe's got to say tha the new album is up there with the best of them (if not actually - the best thing ever...). All of which makres it a bit of a puzzle that he prefers to sing live all the old stuff (which is obviously still relevant today, I mean) that really needed the old voice instead of loads of new stuff that were written with his new voice.

ps and that... is how you turn any old thread into a moan about the setlist.

Why would Mac want anything to do with a guy that writes doom laden lyrics for morose goths? That isn;t what sells.

and Mac doesn't speaks. He mumbles. Which, in way, is becoming kind of cool.
Mac should go low - he may not be able to sing the high notes but he rarely hits a bum note -

If I ever lose a leg in a car accident, I will say I prefer having just the one.

Hey that has the makings of a fun game: you are provided with a topic and you must devolve into into a complaint about the setlist.

I'll start it off.

The topic: rack-and-pinion steering

Begin.

I don't have a clue what that is.
Not having a clue what songs are on the setlist would be a nice way to head to a Bunnymen concert.

How was that? Too crowbary??
Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness.

I'll try.

Speaking of rack-and-pinion steering, why can't they put Get In The Car into their setlist?

And then some moaning about the current setlist and why it won't change even though everybody wants it to change. And then I threaten to boycott the band next time they tour.

How's that Jack? Be kind, I'm new at this.

I wonder if they will play going up or would that be to much to ask for.

They used to open with Going Up. I never tired of that song.

I am so tired of melodramatic acting in hospital dramas. Every hospital I've been to the staff couldn;t seem more uninterested in what was going on around them.
