now i was going to make crack about, well theres not alot of playful there, but in truth i wouldn't know, nevr heardof most of them and the last i heard eminem was fucking singing about is motherfuckin ho (and thats the wy he talks about his girlfriend) who he's put, the biatch, in the boot of his motherfuckin car (apologies for all you sensitive types out there, just illustrating a point your honour) and one of my daughters quite likes young dizzee so i picked up one of his albums as a possible present for her birthday but the track listing included one ditty called " suk my dik". now, call me old fashioned, but the chap cant even spell and i'm not sure thats a good example to be setting a young lady - and I know I know, i use to buy slade records and they couldn't even get the letters the right way round, but mama were all crazee now is, as you say a more playful sentiment.

But i guess, what you ae saying, you like the bunnymen to be a bit more like wot they used to be (unsuccessful, but critically acclaimed ho ho), less straight fours on the toms and, fewer do do dos. Me i quite like the general flow of the thing, the soaring sergentian guitar (i mean, who else) dont mind the growl these days (though on the sample of i think you need it too, or whatever!!! sounds out of tune), but the words are shite. playful? maybe but if i wanted playful i'd listen to the black abbotts. ok just joking, didn't dylan used to be playful back in the day? sometimes.

Maybe I'm being unreasonable or even unrealistic but the fact is I expect more from the Bunnymen than playful pop songs! :confused:

It is better than the snippet for sure. But I agree that it sounds like a song that mac has sung a bunch of times in the last few years..same structure, same melodic make up...lots of repetition. I got a Stormy Weather vibe from it. It's not that i think its horrible, but I agree with other comments that they are capable of more. Though, I am more intrigued to hear full versions of all the songs now.
