Is "flucked" a word? Ian is starting to go into some real cornball territory with some of his lyrics, I guess that's been happening for awhile, though. The song is pretty catchy but a little repetitive, I kept waiting for something else to happen in it besides Will's little guitar solo. I have a feeling this album will be the Bunnymen's catchiest album to date, don't know if that's a good thing or not. I like the heavy drum (drum machine?), there's a whole wall of sound going on in it which is cool.

No, I don't think flucked is a word. Though it might be British slang, but couldn't find that either.

I still wanna vommit, but not vomit and crap at the same time like after hearing the snippets. I need to hear more. At least it was rocking.

I think it sounds Great, and as for some of the lyrics when even in the first four albums did all of Mac's lyrics or words make sense.

Based on the title alone I think the song is geared to us assholes on VT
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

There's some interesting sounds and the production is fuller than they've had in quite some time. Will's guitar sounds great and I'm fine with Mac's voice and the background vocals.

Unfortunately the song, the melody and the lyrics are unremarkable, It's all pleasant sounding and catchy but lacking that drama and mystery that surrounds the band's best work. Bands like Arcade Fire, The Horrors and Interpol seem to have captured that aura why can't the Bunnymen?

Good production again, drumming better in the mix for once and tune catchy. Electrafixion-type guitar solos creeping in again, which is fine by me. Mac's vocals fine, even if he does sound like he has a blocked nose. Good album filler. But it is repetitive. Stuff like this might not be that popular with the Bunnymen fan, but I think songs like this might be more of interest to more general people. Much more of a commercial sound to it.

Certainly makes a big difference hearing a whole song rather than a 40 sec snippet.

See your point BF. The lack of invention, drama and mystery is really something they can't seem to do or grasp anymore. Tracks like "Do You Know Who I Am", to paraphrase Mac "Heard it [before]"

i think once you start talking about production values then its game over isn't it? if the song's not the first thing you think of. Reminds me of the siberia stuff. perhaps the lack of mystery thing is because the ones responsible are either dead or out building boats or cant be arsed except to turn up and stand stage left (or is it right). lyrically its brilliant, down d-down down down (deeper and down). Is this the bloke who idolises cohen?

was listening to some velvets compilation the other day (how uncool is that eh, couldn't be arsed picking up a real album) and listening to this didn't remind me of any of it. Though that may be in the production values mentioned earlier. now i think we need more of that reversed guitar stuff or bringing in some bloke with a violin - yeah, and make the drummer stand up.
