At last count, only 232 Americans actually know the USA team won. Only 592 Americans know what soccer is. Even fewer know it is commonly called football.

Isn't it, though? Mostly little kids (and me and the hubby) play it here, it seems.

I saw a show in Japan about soccer. It is the game least modified for television viewing and has the highest ratings. American football is the game most modified for tv viewing and no one but Americans can understand it.
