I have always felt that the lyrics of A Promise symbolize the internal struggle of two opposing forces contradicting the structurte of the id as it comes to deal with the super ego. The friction that results and the symbolism of being all dressed up show an intnese inertia that develops when a plethora of dream imagery into doubt, yet structure of the ego.

I always thought Bring on the Dancing Horses was a song about a horse, then I saw the video and discovered it's about a cow. Now that's deep maaaaan, deeeep.

Everyone know that song is about man's inhumanity to man.
"He was a mongoose, rather like a little cat in his fur and his tail, but quite like a weasel in his head and his habits."

You're confusing Bring on the Dancing Horses with People are People again Jack.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

And who knew The Cutter was about circumcision?

There are a few lines about Pete in that song........other than that, who the hell knows. Mac was his best when the lyrics were weird, ambiguous, and poetic. I doubt he knows himself.
