What's the "news"?

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

I'll take a "gay" Mac rocking out over Sinatra Mac any day of the week. He can even borrow my spaghetti strap outfit.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Ditto. I've got a feather boa I'd loan him anyday.

That shirt is def. a relic of the 80s that should not be revisited, as well as referring to things as "GAY" that one doesn't like. Does using all caps making it super gay? Or does it just make you feel better about yourself ?

The one-off event will coincide with the release of a limited edition CD called, "Yet More Bloody Songs to Learn and Sing" and a free holographic projection of the legendary Ocean Rain performance, in its full entirety with a full orchestra, that was performed at the Big G Arena (affectionally known locally as The Bucket) in 2022.

Do you think they'll send out the signed 2008 edition of Ocean Rain at the same time?

Calling something "GAY" is '90s, not 80s.

And yes, Mac in a spaghetti strap tank = TEH FAGGORT

Could you imagine Mac today in that shirt from yesterday?

only if it came with the hair, body and voice of that era too.

The Furs must have finally listened to fans/got tired of fan complaints about their perennial set list. They've apparently rejiggered it for their tour this summer, to plenty of hurrahs. The Bunnymen could do the same thing. Be brave, Mac and Will. Delve deep into the songbook.

BF -- I was at one of those Palladium shows too. Did you get part of Morrissey's shirt?

I think it would be a "little" tight.

But it would be good for a laugh.

He made you love him and you couldn't take your eyes off of him. Mac was the same at his 2003 solo show. Playing guitar, great set list, engaging the crowd, dancing a bit. But at every Bunnymen show it's the same setlist, doesn't move other than to "shoot" a light out or kick a cigarette off the stage.

Having seen one of Morrissey's recent gigs, I was horrified with his shirt removal thing. Mac should try that, man boobs and all that.

I miss Mac smoking his ciggies and kicking them off stage. You'd get the same setlist and same chain smoking Mac to smoke in unison with (for smokers in the audience). Bloody smoking ban.

I didn't. I was in the back wondering where all the Mexican dudes with pompadours came from.
