Probably when Verizon and AT&T go 4G. Right now, Verizon and Sprnt are the only carriers on the planet using CDMA - EVDO. It would be stupid for Apple to make an iPhone with a different radio for such a limited market. However, around 2011-2012, AT&T and Verizon's higher speed 4G networks will go live, and they'll be using the same technology.
