Mac covering Lover, Lover, Lover is the best thing that ever happened to Leonard Cohen. Live the song was much more rockin' than the album version.

Hell yeah!

It's alright, better than the original Cohen version. But certainly not worthy of its own poll. What next, best McCulloch solo song?

I will say it's a hell of a lot better than Ian's cover of "That's No Way to Say Goodbye". Now that's a bad cover. One of my favorite Cohen songs and Ian just butchers it.

Actually, I think Lover, lover is one of Ian or the Bunnymen's best covers. It gets bonus points for one of the funniest parts of a music video I've ever seen where Ian is dressed in some weird grey beard and wig and he starts dancing midway through the song.

My one-year old daughter LOVES the video. Ian in the wig looks just like Michael Palin's scraggly old character from Monty Python. "IT'S!" Cracks me up.

I think it's a great song.
