I emailed Andy Zax

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

I emailed Andy Zax

Yes, I am a dork and sometimes have too much free time after the kids are asleep (although I could be doing something productive). I emailed Andy Zax to ask if he knew of any plans to release the stuff I been bitching about for years (a complete Peel Sessions CD, restored Albert Hall DVD, Crystal Day DVD, promo vids, TV appearances, etc .

He was nice enough to mail me back. As far as he knows, aside from the 83 Royal Albert Hall bonus CD on the Ocean Rain re-release (how is this btw, for anyone who has it?), no other "vintage" Bunnymen material is due for release. He said it's "complicated", which I'm sure has to do with who owns the rights and how much money they want.

Oh well, guess I'll always have my grainy 10th generation VHS bootlegs!

I emailed Mark Burgess once.

I think it is cool you shared that.

Jack, way to be a thread ruiner.

Jack actually is a very thoughtful e-mailer to the stars. His e-mail to Pelle Carlberg was so cute!
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

That's true. He politely declined my interview request.

If anyone has an e-mail for Jake Brockman I'll harass him too.

An interview with the elusive Mr. Drummond would be pretty awesome, but he probably said all he had to say in his book. Odd duck that man, but he was a definite part of the mystique of the Bunnymen. They were never the same once he left.

Jake Brockman is the JD Salinger of our generation. You will notice that there is no hyper link to him on Wikipedia:

I still chuckle at Jack's (paraphrasing here) "have you sullied the reputations of any other beloved bands or just the Bunnymen?"

He seemed like a cool dude though
