Will flash cameras (I have a digital one but, I can't figure out how to turn off the flash, duh...) be permitted on both nights?

What kind of music is played at the Korova? Do they "pick" people to enter the club? Meaning, is it like a trendy place? Are all of the band members "planning" to attend there?

We're still unsure of things yet, well obviously speaking, if you were in my shoes, would you go? We do have some other plans lined up that weekend as I'm sure you all do too.

I hope that whomever goes to the Korova has a blast!! :)

Red - bit touchy arent you! I didnt actually mention you by name in my post did I? As a matter of fact it was a generic criticism of the empty headed fangirls (most of whom, you have to admit, tend to be from the US) who have turned a cutting edge rock band into some sort of self help group for 40something women.

The fawning over Mac and Will really grates with me...I admit it. They only want to take your money, they arent interested in fraternising. Its only self delusion keeps people from seeing the absolute contempt in Mac's eyes (Im not going to mention Glasgow).

But...if it makes you happy...go for it.

Korova for those who havent been there before. Its Little Chef chic meets 70's living room. The acoustics are terrible, the clientelle are atrocious and its tiny and bloody hot. Plus on the night Will is spinning the wheels of steel (or possibly a laptop) it will be knee deep in HRT patches. Shudder.

As for the fact that all the old official forum members are now here ... I had noticed that too. Hence the post in the first place. I want to make Bunnymen fans edgy again (you can still be edgy at 39 cant you? Cant you? Oh God).

Plus...if it was all one big happy love in where is the fun in that? Thats what the Webastards Official Site is for.

I dont mind if you call me a fat, bald Scouse bastard. In fact Id actively encourage it. I dont want "nice". I want real.

Real.

Si

(the fat, bald, angry one)
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

You forgot "old" - fat, old, bald Scouse bastard!

As for being edgy is there any point? The Bunnymen haven't really been edgy since Porcupine and that was, oh, a long time ago. A LONG LONG time ago.

What did Dylan Thomas say? "Do not go gentle into that good night" (or something - my OLD brain is giving out)

maybe I cant accept the lack of edge, maybe I project my anger with the band going all cosy onto the fans...maybe I cant accept Will the purveyor of bent guitar shards of amazing noise can just sort of...go all safe.

Maybe thats the deep seated rage I have.

Questions....questions...(plus who cares anyway?)

Its gone from The Subject to Get In The Car. BUT

...Scissors In The Sand has edge. Its hidden away...but its still in there somewhere.

Thats the Bunnymen I'll fight for. Not the Buns of avatars, "meets", aftershow parties at Korova etc

but the Bunnymen who recorded a big, discordant, uncompromising, beautiful, life affirming album like Heaven Up Here.

Yes, the Bunnymen passion runs deep in my veins and I'll always kick out at the sanitising of the band and the people who want to bundle them up in a nostalgic wrapper. Id love them to record an album thats totally unlistenable to Coldplay fans.

I can dream cant I...

Amen to that but HUH was 26 (count 'em) years ago and the chances of Mac yelping, wailing and screaming his way through anything these days is, frankly, zero.
He's a CROONER now, even though he's practically flushed his vocal talent down the bog, he likes to croon and stuff.

Red, you do what you want you do, as you will anyway. I hope you'll go b/c you've always defended me in the past & I was too stupid to realize this. Go & have a BLAST.

Scouser, that's your opinions of what you think of us & other REAL fans. Let me tell you however, I'm a single, INDEPENDENT, working woman & sorry to disappoint you but, I don't fawn over people....never have & never will.

Dr. Cheese, in this land of ours, is it to infinity & beyond while living long & prospering? You tell me! LOL LOL

My ideas of fans are warped. Mainly because I'm warped.

....although "The Disease" has been in the setlist recently, and that was a pretty waily track. Whatever he sings has to be adapted to his "new" voice.
