I love that version of the Killing Moon.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

yeah but where did they hide the orchestra, or were they out in the hall. I see the interview technique plateaued about then.

Wasn't Jake Brockman the orchestra back then?

You really are a dick
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

I know right! It's amazing how they used to play it so punchy but it was still beautiful at the same time. I've never seen anyone play that drum part (aside from me ha!) the exact way Pete did. It's great that these clips captured that point in their history, but at the same time it just shows "oh how the mighty have fallen".........

And thanks for the mp3.

Fucking weird interview. Mac interviewed apart from the other three, like there was already some huge rift in the band. Pete sounded almost hateful of him when he talked about Mac not being the spokesman for the band. If I didn't know better, I'd think Les or Peter had brought along their autistic cousin.

But have you seen this version of Killing Moon?

ABBA's on tour, perhaps they'll consider adding Ian to the show.

Emma Russack does the song justice.

Sorry if that last post forced you to poke out your ear drums with a pencil. Here's somthing to bring on the healing.

Being loyal fans, I'm sure you all have a copy of EATB's Ocean Rain (B-Sides/Demos) on which can be found several variations of Killing Moon. I just love how they play around with the songs and turn it into something new. Just in case you don't, a copy can be found on McCrank's Juke blog site (note the password).

Hey, its Friday night! A full flask of tequila, a fat cigar and off I go to Rotterdam Arena, teleported back to 1983. Woohoo!! Thanks again StarsAreStars

What a wonderful interview with everyone in the band - so self-assured - no guilt - chip on their shoulders.

"He is not a spokesman for the band." Pete
Pete is gone. Thus, the band is NO MORE.

or:

interviewer: would you rather be doing anything else?
long pause,
shuffle awkwardly on chair,
long pause
Pete: I think I'd rather be riding my bike.

In Fletcher's book he mentions this style of interview and when he he meets mac he says 'well that what i hve to put up with all the time'.
