OK - what is it with singers - a guitar player doesn't walk up and say - yeah I'll play a solo I never practiced.

Did Ian practice? I will cut Ian a little slack in that I think he was shitting his pants. I think the guy honestly wants to be a rock star but at the same time is feels kind of intimidated by it all.

Honestly, because he doesn;t take care of his voice. Sorry to bring Gahan into this - but I saw a video of Gahan warming up for a Playing The Angel recording session and he may be a Sheffield noob - but the guy has excellent control over his voice.

It ain't just the smokes. Ian seriously needs to get a vocal coach and relearn how to sing. He doesn't support the notes, he probably doesn't know what a diaphragm is other than a contraceptive or how to raise his soft pallete.

All well in good when you are 25 and can blurt it out - but man - take care of yourself.

If he had sang well, I'd say he looked bad ass and cool as shit prior to the song starting.

This all sounds so awful I don't want to see it, but I know I will find it tonight on youtube or wherever, and I'll watch it, and I'll be horrified and possible saddened, but I'll watch it, 'cause it's Mac. Just like I bought (and sold) Flowers and WAYGTDWYL. Sigh. Do fans of other bands do this to themselves, or is it confined only to EATB fans? Are we masochists? Maybe other bands just pack it in before publicly humiliating themselves?

Psh... "Hundreds of millions" would indicate multiple hundreds of millions. meaning at least 200 million american viewers...out of a population of 304,059,724. I don't think "hundreds of millions" even watch the Superbowl.

I fucking quit worshipping this fucking band.
