Which Bunnymen contemporaries still have fire/integrity?

Contemporaries meaning late 70's/early 80's "non-mainstream" bands.......


My picks:

The Chameleons - I saw them twice during their brief reformation. Couldn't believe how good they were and that a lot of the newer material could stand up against the older stuff.

Gang of 4 - Didn't play any new stuff when I saw them, but tore the place up!

Nick Cave - Birthday Party, Bad Seeds, Grinderman, Solo ........... all unbelievable.

Paul Weller - a few hiccups w/The Style Council (still some fine songs though), his solo stuff just gets better and better.

No shit, I've been thinking about this one all afternoon
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Actually I'd say the Damned who never had any integrity to begin with are okay in my book. Even now they are fighting, scraping to get their music out and even though it's not their best material I appreciate the struggle. Live they are still amazing to watch.

The Damned are great aren't they!!! Never took themselves too seriously but treated the music with respect. Wish they'd patch things up with Rat.
