Good luck, TW - I think we've all been there at one time or another. I work in the wireless industry, and we seem to be somewhat immune to the recession.

What area do all you guys work in?

I'm in the medical software IT field. Our product is used in doctor offices and hospitals.

I was an IT desktop support guy prior to 2000 and the contract ended. I was out of work for a few months and then I bumped into an old friend who was working for a start up company that was marketing ePrescribing to doctors. About a year later the money dried up and the technology wasn't quite there and I was laid off. That year of working for a medical software company got my resume noticed for a large company that was also a medical software company and I've been there since 2001. Currently we seem recession proof as we have more jobs open than we have room for in our building.
