Bunnymen Mangement Lies

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

Peter posted a BBC interview from 2008 previewing the Echo Arena show.

He's allowing a link to that year old sky arts program to remain because it's not on their server. And he claims it was never put on bunnymen.com because their lawyers are bigger than theirs.

This stuff can't be made up. It's like comedy gold.

It's nice. They put in some new crown mouldings.

I know Peter was on vacation, but even so it seems like he hardly ever answers anyone's questions on there. It's a pretty sad state of affairs over there, IMO.

Personally I don't think he should be posting because if he comes across poorly it reflects badly on the band. I think it's debatable if he's mean spirited or just doesn't come across well online but more thought should be given as it's tough to be the boss and also want to be a friend.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

MY refund saga turned out to be hilarious. I also don't know if he's mean-spirited but it would make his numerous cock-ups tolerable if he just wasn't so self-righteous. "Sorry, I fucked up, I'm human." No problem Peter mate, we all do it.
Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness.

Let's hear some details.

It's a nice Focal Point Crown/Cornice Moulding with a matching chair rail. They really perk the place up and make you feel you are someplace special. I would probably add a ceiling medallion as an accent piece but that's just me.

I've spoken to Peter quite a few times and I can honestly say I find he is a genuinely nice guy who doesn't strike me as mean spirited in any way. The fact that his spelling isn't up to muster doesn't make him any less a nice guy. Ok he could do with someone proof reading his stuff from time to time, but lets be honest, at best he's trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. If Peter isn't given information and it's leaked before P&P have managed to pull their fingers out and let him know, its not his fault. I feel sorry for the guy and think he gets a lot of stick. Basically I think management make him look a bit of a berk sometimes, which I dislike saying because Peasy is a sound bloke with lots of time for people.

If the band were that bothered about how the official forum reflects on them they should have given the project to someone with more time to donate to it, I honestly don't think they have a problem with it.

I'm sure the band don't have a problem with the web site. Unfortunately, that is mostly irrelevant since the website is not for them. It is entirely appropriate for fans to take issue with this slip-shod attitude; the fact that they have no problem with their own attitutude is merely a restatement of the problem.

The spelling issues are just a distraction. Other than looking unprofessional I doubt anyone is truly offended or appalled by them. But some of his postings and personal messages to forum members do come across as condescending which isn't doing the band any favors. Like I said before he could be a helluva nice guy in person and just comes across badly when writing, I don't know. I just think more thought should go into postings, newsletters, dealings with fans, etc.

Is that an accidental typo Jack? Or some social critique on Peter's spelling issues?

The forum may be for fans but they pay for the forum, therefore it's up to them how it is run and who runs it. I agree its appropriate for fans to take issue but it is irrelevant what either you or I think, it will not change anything and it's pretty pointless getting defensive about it.

I think you could be right. How he comes across isn't actually how he is, but some people are not good at articulating themselves using written word.
