And the greatest Bunnymen song ever

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

To add more fuel to the Over the Wall criticism, I'd probably put at least half the songs on HUH over it. With a Hip, A Promise, No Dark Things, All I Want, the title track. The list goes on...And HUH isn't even close to being my favorite Bunnymen album, although it has 2 of my favorite songs of theirs on it, With A Hip and A Promise.

One of my big gripes about HUH is the production kinda sucks on it. Hugh Jones? OVERRATED.

Over The Wall isn't even in the top 5 of my favorite album cuts, but it kicks ass live.

Starts with a tinny drum machine, builds and builds to a massive wall of noise...and when it ends the set - back to the drum machine and the wail of feedback from Will's still-smoldering guitar for 5 minutes after the band have left the stage.

Now that's epic

I agree that it can kick ass live. It's the kind of song that sounds much better live, like on the Live in Liverpool album.

The album version just bores me.

The Disease is way better live too.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Cracking on Over the Hall and now the entire album ?!?!? You have made a life long nemesis! The production on HUH is brilliant!!! I'll admit I'm biased as the drums are mixed way up on it, and I'm a drummer, but the whole ambiance and sound of that album is stellar! But, to each their own I suppose.........

You cannot go wrong with A Promise. Mac's vocals are superb. One of the best.

Excellent live Over the Wall ... nice and ominous.

Ignore blackfranceis, w.t.e. Mr. Rock and Roll is more of a Songs to Learn and Sing/Candleland fan. Anything a little more raw he finds "yucky."

If Jack listens to anything that rocks harder than the Shins (which is just about anything), he wets himself.
