Let me know if you find that cock extending application........

Depeche Mode's "Sounds of the Universe" (Mute/EMI) starts a second week at the European Top 100 Albums summit.

While "Universe" makes a sharp 2-12 descent in the band's native United Kingdom and falls 1-2 in Denmark, 2-4 in France and 2-9 in Portugal, a second week on top in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and Hungary, and a new entry at No. 1 in Spain, are enough to prevent Bob Dylan's "Together Through Life" (Columbia/Sony Music Entertainment) from making a pan-European No. 1 debut.

Fuck off Dylan!!!!!

I don't know if that's weird. Other than Exciter DM hasn't given us a reason to doubt.

Its their worst album by a long chalk but its no Flowers.

Its got Shine, which is one of my fave ever DM songs...as well as some great ballads (Goodnight Lovers, Freelove).

Though it also contains the unforgivable Dead Of Night and the DM-by-numbers of I Feel Loved (never played live despite being a single).

Dave's vocals are great througout, its Mark Bell (producer) that lets them down. He's a dance producer and only understands beeps and bleeps. The production is monochrome and flat compared to the Wilder/Flood, Simenon or Hillier years.
