a song that could [or rather should] be played at a bunnymen show instead...it's not a Mac solo track....thing that twerps me off is, he only plays guitar when Will isn't around...and he saves the stuff that he knows everyone wants to hear for his solo shows...and even has the same exact band, minus Will, playing those tracks. it's a bit insulting! what's he doing? seems like he's trying to work up to another solo career by getting everyone to think his solo shows are better than bunnymen shows? if he can pull this stuff off with no effort at a solo show, then maybe he should put a little more effort into trying to make the most of a bunnymen show. just coz he is pissed off that he needs Will and the Bunnymen name, doesn't mean he should keep all the good stuff for his 'solo' shows. there, i said it! but no, i'm not ever gonna lose interest. i just think it's stupid that Mac got pissed off when the rest of the Bunnymen carried on without him, yet what's he doing now?? playing guitar, and songs the fans repeatedly say they want to hear, without Will on the stage! stubborn and childish. (or is it just to get them there?)

wish id seen the solos they are better than the ordinary gigs

If it looks like Big Mac enjoys himself more playing solo why doesnt he just bite the bullet? At his age and weight some acoustic strumming on a bar stool is preferable to having to front a (c)rock and roll show. To be fair he now has the gravelly voice, shades and chins to be indie's answer to Dean Martin's later career - I could see that and I'd probably even go along (though maybe not to a pizza gaff).

But he doesnt. He cant let the comfort blanket of Will and the Bunnymen brand go. Its easy money.

And he got us to call Mac's solo pizza joint shows "The Spaghetti Sessions".
