The Obligatory Depeche Mode thread

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Just watching them on Jools Holland now and I have a question - when did Elton John join Depeche Mode?

Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Elt seems to have lost a bit of weight for the tour and I dig his leather jacket.

A little subdued for Elton that night.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Your big thread you've been working on for 3 years? Huh?
Gotta, gotta compelling protaganist? Yeah?
Gotta talk about his eye makeup? Huh?
Gotta story brewing there?
Working on, working on that for quite some time? Huh?
(voice getting higher pitched)
Yea, talking about that 3 years ago.
Been working on that the whole time?
Nice little thread goin?
Beginning, middle, and no end?
Some friends become enemies, some enemies become friends?
At the end everyone is richer from the experience? Yeah? Yeah?
(voice returns to normal)

Electronic masters Depeche Mode invite us into their dressing room at the Later...With Jools Holland studio to talk thirty years of making music around the world. We also delve into the murky world of the concept album with, among others, prog legend Rick Wakeman. Plus the latest on all the biggest stories from the week in music, and we speak to The Charlatans' Tim Burgess and Florence And The Machine.

Bunnymen even get a mention!

I'm running out of steam here. Should I tell my ML Gore lesbian bar story again?

According to my mate it's a pretty impressive show going by the rehearsals, so here's hoping it's worth the wait for us Scots, over 20 years since the last DM concert here.....

Mind you according to him it is totally dwarfed by the U2 show, over 180 trucks needed to transport it, and that does not include the ones to carry Bono's ego.............

Forget U2, where's the trucks needed to transport my cd's from Jimbo's house to Scouser's house?
