Echo & The Bunnymen Official Ocean Rain Live Liverpool CD Statement.
It is with deep regret that Echo & The Bunnymen have to inform you that the release date for the Official Ocean Rain Live In Liverpool cd has had to be put back to the 31ST May 2009.
This decision was made after the first batch had been received from the manufacturers. Having inspected the cd and listened to the final sound quality the general feeling was that the pressing quality was not up to the standard that we had been promised.
Echo & The Bunnymen deemed it preferable to have the cds re-pressed rather than send out what would have been a poor quality recording of such a memorable occasion.
Echo & The Bunnymen have been overwhelmed with your response to this exclusive website-only cd and feel that rather than send out a ‘half hearted’ production that you all deserve the best re production possible.
Ian & Will completely understand the huge disappointment that this delay will cause many of you and therefore Echo & The Bunnymen are happy to offer a full refund to any fans who require one.
This will no doubt prolong the release of The Fountain due out in a few years from now.

Weird. I got my CD in the mail yesterday.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I saw that too and wondered if that was someone being a dick or just badly wording the Q & A.
Based on the response received by Holy Custard I'd wager on the former.
It's not Custard's fault they decided to go with "Jim's Fish Chips and CD Manufacturing" to save a buck.
