The Obligatory Depeche Mode thread

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Everyone just calm down. Dave just thought he was posting in the ever popular obligatory The Cure thread.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I thought this was the most civil discussion we've had since . . . . well since .

Less than 100 posts behind Lime Tree Arbour...
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

This Dave Smith controversy has been manipulated by Scouser the whole time in order to gain new posts and eventually overtake Lime Tree Arbour.

Well played sir.

Look at the views to replies ratio between this topic and Lime Tree Arbour. I dont know what it means, but its interesting.

Suppose you're right BF,at least the bloke in lipstick in DM isnt a beached whale in basketball shoes like in The Cure.

Can we stop calling Mac's gigs the 'pizza joint'?How about the Spaghetti sessions? And the forth position is in the pub.

Siouxsie:

"Q: Your old guitarist, Cure frontman Robert Smith, is set to do a duet with Ashlee Simpson. Do you think he should be killed for treason?

A: Who is Ashlee Simpson?

Q: I love that you said that!

A: No, really, who is he?

Q: It's a she. A bland, lip-syncing American pop singer. Sister of Jessica Simpson.

A: Hmm, Jessica Simpson.

Q:You don't know her, either, do you?

A: I really don't know. One of the benefits of living in France. I'm totally out of touch. As far as Robert Smith, I mean, darling, really, do you own a mirror?

Q:He does look like a potato with hair lately. I know that you hate reporters only dredging up the distant past, and I loved that you stormed out of that recent Mojo magazine interview. Give em hell, honey!

A: I get sooo bored. Can you imagine answering the same banal questions for 30 years? Bill Grundy, swastikas, blah blah blah. We wrote the band biography in 2003 and I thought that'd do it. Read the fucking book.
There's way too much retrospective going on all over the place. Stop looking backwards. Remakes of films, like The Omen and Halloween. Have you really run out of ideas? Imagination costs nothing. It's free and anyone can do it. It's the same with having someone style you. I mean, use your bloody head. That's the fun of it!

Shucks! I didn't know you cared  Or would I be right in assuming you've got crystal days and crystal daze mixed up. And yeah, I guess it was a shameless plug. Nick doesn't really need another pimp, he looks enough like one himself with that 'tache.

No confusion. I just can't bring myself to spell Crystal Daze. It'll open the floodgates and I'll be all "hey guyz you gots ta listen to these new jamz!" or "Me and my boyz are hittin' up the DM show!"

And then where would I be?
