We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

occasionally look at this to read his rants. Anyway he has a couple of interesting (I think thats the word) versions of love will tear us apart, especially the one by 'the complete stone roses' who as you could probably work out are a stone roses tribute band. mind you the 'country' version's quite good too, nice stringsy bit in the middle. no idea whose singing, unless hooky has been hiding something all this time.

I like the Swans' cover (with Michael Gira singing).

The Swans cover is really good, not a big fan of the Jarboe version, though. I actually saw them on their farewell tour years back, awesome band, but maybe the most depressing band ever.

You can definitely hear the vocal influence of Ian Curtis on Michael Gira. It's funny because Gira's voice is actually really high when he's talking.

Gira's speaking voice doesn't sound that high.

I stopped buying the Sisters after First and Last when they became Eldritches cartoon band like a goth King Kurt. But up to that point they had some great songs-Alice,Temple,Marian,Walkaway.

That's weird concerning Gira's voice. On their farewell tour they were selling tapes of some of Gira's spoken word stuff and his voice sounded really high on those. I guess it wasn't him??
