New Yeah Yeah Yeahs

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

My wont she be sorry when it conks out or they bring out a slightly different shaped affair and just has to have it and woe of woes her hard drive has gone the same way. my ipod has all three copies of ocean rain on just so I can get in the mood for the era I'm wishing to wallow in - just waiting to add the live version and then I'll send them all to you too if thats now the acceped method of getting rid of all the old tat.

No, I meant that "A noisy Noise annoys a noisy Seagull" and "Sometimes Over Here" albums are both comparable in sheer brilliance to Ocean Rain, not that they actually are Ocean Rain or anything like it in musical style-she is a complete original. I'd go further in that the best songs even stand up next to The Chameleons "Tears" or the Bunnymens Flaming Red/Bluer Skies /Razors Edge. She achieves all this with a strange yet endearing icy detachment-a complete contrast to Karen O with her full-on sex goddess routine. Both routes are valid.

Oops - last four songs on the cd are acoustic version of the first 4. You get 14 songs. Six songs sounded good but nothing a band on an indie label can't do and hasn't done better.

Like was said - it is a good cd, but wallpaper music after a few listens.

Then why start a thread about them? How about something helpful and informative like my 3:39 thread?

It's the cock-shaped stir stick that makes it gay.
