This is professional broadcast quality not a cell phone camera or a home use handheld. There is a symbol in the corner and the "Direct TV" below it.

I've got this to say - the band sound better like this, without a keyboard player. I say ditch the keys for good.

Having a bit of trouble ripping this to avi.
The source dvd seems to be hard letter-boxed so when I convert, it smashes the whole video vertically and makes Ian look as short and chubby as Will.

Any suggestions on a good dvd ripper that will help fix this issue?

I use WinAVI Video converter for my conversion needs. Not sure if it will solve this problem.

Hello
got this pro-shot dvd precisely yesterday but what an awful performance in my opininon ! The band is so lame, so bored, so unimpressive and Mac's singing very poor.
Good thing to have this document existing but..just for the archives then.

I started the conversion process this morning, and I noticed it was stuck at 42% before I left. I figured there was some background buffering or something going on. Just came home.. still at 42%... So, it's gonna be a while kiddies

FYI

Those who don't have Dime memberships can also download the dvd from this site:

Yeah... you may want to do that, gang.
I just finished converting, to knock it down under 1gb, and frankly (pun intended), it looks like shit. I really don't wanna be responsible for that kind of degraded quality being distributed.

the video is divided among 3 vob files, two of which are 1gb, and one which is smaller.

I could upload this in three pieces - the two 1gb vob files and then the smaller vob file with the rest of the video_ts contents. Then you can move the two larger vob files to the video_ts folder, allowing you to play the files like a dvd, or burn them to one.

If anyone wants me to proceed with that, let me know.

This is a torrent site too? I was able to download the torrent from Dime but don't have the software to open it and haven't decide which one to choose. If I download from zombie, will I still need to get new software? Thanks

The Direct TV and SPIN shows didn't have the energy that the small club shows @ Emos and Rusty Spurs did.

I've done some digging around and I think I've found the software aXXo (famous DVD ripper) uses. I'm trying it out now. I'm very optimistic. Best part - it's free. If it works, I'll post the link to get the software... and the link for the dvd rip, of course

[edit] worked like a champ. Took a while, because the program makes multiple passes. uploading the video right now. If you want the program I used, it's available here: http://www.autogk.me.uk/index.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1
