As you may have heard, a workprint of this film has been leaked to the interwebs.
Just got finished watching it. Not bad at all, despite the unfinished and mocked-up effects. I do intend to see it on the big screen.

I think the only people that've had a problem with it are the comic book geeks that expect the story to follow the pre-established mythology to the letter... and 20th Century Fox. They may not be too happy either... and Marvel Pictures... yeah they may not be happy either.

The thing is, I think it holds up, and the leak will drive people to the theater, rather than keep them from seeing it.

Comic book geeks need to chill the f out. I just saw X-Men and thought it was great. And I am glad it was different from the comic book. If I want to see the comic book, I will read it.
For example, Dr. Manhattan's characterization was much better than the comic. And the V-Day kiss with Silhouette was a great idea.
