Doves "Kingdom of Rust" video

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Very Bunnymen influenced I think, so naturally excellent!

I am not a big Doves fan (don't like Goodwin's voice) but Jetstream sounds very New Order and PBS:

Doves are Fucken BRILLIANT, if it weren't for the Bunnymen they would be my favorite band by far. Can't wait for the new album "Kingdom Of Rust" on April 7th here in Canada. Also me and couple of friends are going to see them May 30th in Detroit Michigan, can't wait . . . . .

id agree with that

pounding is class and although they are a little seventies and spaced out they can write a good song

like many bands u either love or hate the singer and dont know the rest of em

and i havent a clue what hes singing about so intonation rubbish

but it sounds good and spaces me a bit
i sometimes use caps and punctuation for emphasis

I think they are one of those bands that have never quite lived up to their potential. A few good singles but big gaps in the albums. Saw em at Reading a few years ago - in that sleepy tea time spot and they were quite good but I only stood up for a couple. Lyrically they try a bit too hard to be a bit Smithsy and never quite get there. Good in parts though
