SPIN @ Stubb's

A very sunny toasty afternoon at Stubb's. When I got there Black Lips were on and sounded good, but I was pretty far back and there was lots of activity with people walking around and talking. Glasvegas were next and I started moving up to the front. Now that I have their album and am more familiar with the songs, I enjoyed them better than at Radio City, plus had a better vantage point this time. Bunnymen came out and got right to it. They played hard and very professional. The sound was fantastic, much better than Emos just due to the size and quality of the sound system, plus there wasn't the hum problem. It was over so fast with the shorter set list.

Rescue
Villier's Terrace
Seven Seas
Dancing Horses
Think I Need It Too
Nothing Lasts Forever
All that Jazz
Back of Love
Killing Moon
Cutter
Lips Like Sugar

No encore
They were superb! But I must say that I did like Emos better for the atmosphere. Better lighting for photos though at Stubb's and while I was down front dancing like crazy, my husband, Brian, was in a great position for photos.

They cleared everyone out very fast for the Guitar Hero Metallica party, that really was a gig. You could say, Buns opened for Metallica, kinda.

Dear Will and Ian,

You need to keep the drummer and make him a full time member of the band.

Sincerely,

actually i think the current lineup is pretty great. i know they are never going to live up to the legacy of pete & les, but they've got a pretty good bunch there. i hope it lasts.

and the buns open for metallica? that's funny

i like Will's sunglasses

I really this guy should be part if the song writing process though. I agree with the person who said best drummer since Pete.

Those photos remind me of why I don't go to Bunnymen concerts anymore. Two fat blokes and a load of session players. Jesus.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

The important question: Is the bass player as good as that guy from Cast?

If I was banned from the Official forum and you were not, then there is no justice in the world.

You're welcome. I'm glad there's stuff to post and nearly all have been positive.

Are the Bunnymen shows all done now, or do you have more to go to? I thought there were four (or five) in all.

All done - 2 in one day yesterday was unbelievable. Musebox showcase at Rusty Spurs may have been even better than Emos. ROCKED. I will post some pics later, after I get some more rest. Whew
